HLT 32807 CERTIFICATE III IN HEALTH SUPPORT SERVICES

15 Competency Units are required for award of this qualification.

Compulsory Units: 4 Compulsory Units

  • Communicate and Work Effectively in health
  • Comply with infection control policies and procedures in health work
  • Participate in the OHS process
  • Contribute to effective workplace relationships

Elective Units: 11 electives must be chosen to create the training package.

Cleaning Electives

  • Restore a hard floor finish
  • Replace a hard floor finish
  • Clean glass surfaces
  • Clean ceiling surfaces and fittings
  • Clean window coverings
  • Wash furniture and fittings
  • Organise and monitor cleaning operations

  • Use dry absorbent compound
  • Use wet foam shampoo
  • Clean using pressure washing

Food services electives

  • Plan and evaluate meals and menus to meet recommended dietary guidelines
  • Follow basic food safety practices
  • Oversee the day-to-day implementation of food safety in the workplace
  • Apply and monitor food safety requirements
  • Develop food safety programs
  • Conduct food safety audits
  • Prepare foods suitable for a range of food service settings
  • Prepare foods according to dietary and cultural needs
Grounds maintenance electives

  • Implement a grassed area maintenance program
