This course is designed for Health carers, including all Registered Nurses, allied health staff, aged care supervisors and personal carers. Elements include;
- Causes of incontinence
- Identifiying methods of prevention
- Practical aspects of managing continence problems
- Use of appropriate interventions and devising a continence program
- Correct use of aids and appliances
- Networks and resources
On completion, participants will be able to:
- Develop strategies to deal with various issues of incontinence
- Plan an individual continence management program
- Prevent deterioration of continence
- Maintain standards and meet accreditation requirements
